Our early learning centre in Royal Park is convenient for families located in and around Seaton, Albert Park and West Lakes.
We welcome children from 6 weeks to school age into our childcare and preschool program. In our purpose-built indoor and outdoor learning environments, qualified teachers and educators deliver Edge’s bespoke Teach A Rainbow program, personalised to your child’s interests and individual learning goals. Children learn through play with engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that are aligned to the national curriculum.
We offer year-round care with long day care hours to suit busy family schedules, and a school readiness focus to build your child’s confidence for a smooth transition to school.
Our diploma and degree qualified team is highly experienced in early learning and builds strong, trusting relationships with children and families to support a confident start to school. Children from our centre will often go on to attend Hendon Primary School, Alberton Primary School, Seaton Park Primary School and Our Lady Queen of Peace School.
Our centre prides itself on our multiple outdoor learning environments and spacious indoor environments. Our outdoor spaces are designed for play and discovery featuring a bike track, cubby house, fort, sandpits, mud kitchen, swing and popular water play area. We also provide a multipurpose sensory space promoting emotional regulation including our fairy garden and pet fish! This space enables us to welcome visiting therapists to work with children who require OT, speech pathology or other allied health professional sessions.

Preschool Program delivered by a qualified Teacher
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) can cover up to 95% of your daily child care costs, depending on your family’s eligibility. From January 2026, eligible families can receive a minimum 3-days of subsidised care.

Our exclusive Teach A Rainbow education program is designed to support holistic development through play-based and inquiry-led learning experiences that are personalised to each child’s interests and learning goals. At our Royal Park childcare centre, your child will explore 11 Key Learning Areas, aligned to the national Early Years Learning Framework, including social-emotional development, creative arts, STEM, movement and motor skills, literacy, numeracy, sensory, sustainability, community and culture, Indigenous perspective, and life skills.

A: The first step is to tour your preferred Edge Early Learning and Preschool centre by booking a tour. This gives you an opportunity to meet our educators, explore our nurturing environment, and understand how we can provide an experience that is best suited to your child. After your tour, you’ll receive an enrolment form to secure a spot or join the waitlist.
A: We accept enrolments for future start dates at our Royal Park childcare and kindergarten, so whether you’re trying to enrol your child to start next month, or further down the track, we can assist you. Our Family Engagement Team can provide you with our current availability in each classroom, and help you join our waitlist if we don’t have a position for your child when you need it. A: At Edge Early Learning Royal Park, we aim to make life as easy as possible for you, so we supply most of the necessities including sustainable nappies, wipes, sunscreen, bedding, and nutritious meals (breakfast through to a late snack) to ensure your child is well-cared for throughout the day. However, there are a few items that you will need to bring to ensure your child has everything they need:
A: We’re conveniently located on Tapleys Hill Road, only a 3 minute walk to Hendon Primary School via the nearby Cedar Avenue — making our location perfect for families managing school drop-off and pick-up. We also have a bus stop right out front and offer on-site parking for added ease and accessibility.
A: Yes! Your child will enjoy fresh, nutritious meals prepared daily by our on-site chef. Designed with growing bodies in mind, our menus are designed to be age-appropriate and nutritionally balanced to support healthy growth and development. Featuring a variety of whole foods and culturally inspired dishes, meals can be tailored to suit individual tastes, dietary needs, and allergy requirements—ensuring every child receives nourishing meals each day.
A: At our Royal Park day care and Preschool, we offer extra-curricular activities included in your daily fees — no extra charges!
Additionally, we offer allied health professional visits including dental and optical services, which are bulk billed for eligible families. We also warmly welcome family-arranged occupational therapists and speech pathologists to work with children at the centre.
A: At Edge Early Learning, we make it easy for families to book the care you need, when you need it. We partner with Childcare Now, an on-demand booking platform that allows you to book a casual day at the touch of a button, from your phone.
Enrolled families will receive a weekly SMS letting you know when there’s availability in your child’s room. You can instantly book available casual days or go on a waitlist and be the first to be notified if space opens up for the date you need extra childcare.
A: Yes, we do! At Edge Royal Park, families can save money with our annual holiday discount.
Do you have a holiday planned? You can get 30% off* the daily fee for up to 4 weeks each year.
*The Edge Early Learning holiday discount entitles enrolled families to up to 4 weeks of holiday discount per year when the family provides a minimum two weeks’ notice in advance of the holiday. One week of holiday equates to the number of days in your child’s permanent weekly booking. Once your holiday discount is approved by your Centre Director, the Edge Centre Support Team will apply a 30% discount to the daily fee during the holiday period. Up to four weeks total holiday discount per enrolment per year.

We provide a secure, nurturing long daycare environment where children can explore, learn, and grow with confidence. Our team is committed to protecting children through consistent daily practices, evidence-based programs, and strict adherence to national child safety standards and Edge child safeguarding policy and procedure.
We work closely with child safety organisations such as Life Ed and Bravehearts to strengthen personal safety education within our program including body boundaries, emotions and social awareness.
We exceed regulatory requirements with a 1:9 ratio of educators to children in our 3–5-year-old rooms (versus the regulated 1:11 ratio) to ensure your child receives more individual attention, closer supervision, and stronger educator relationships.
At Edge, your child’s safety and wellbeing isn’t just a policy, it’s part of everything we do. Our S.A.F.E. framework (Spot, Act, Fix, Explain) empowers educators to speak up if they see or suspect something isn’t right, fostering a culture of accountability and vigilance. Our Active Supervision policy supports staff to plan, position, look, and listen to ensure all children are continuously supported and monitored in a safe learning environment. In addition, all supervisory and senior staff complete ongoing Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting training to stay up to date on best practices.
