New North Harbour Childcare Coming Soon with a Sustainable Edge
Edge Early Learning’s newest childcare centre is set to open on March 9, 2020 in new development area, North Harbour. Edge Early Learning North Harbour will debut the list of Edge centres scheduled to open in 2020 and will bring a sustainable Edge to the community, by providing children with eco-friendly nappies and wipes.
Made from 100% pure bamboo, these eco-friendly products are biodegradable and therefore more sustainable than regular nappies, which go straight into landfill.
Edge Early Learning Chief Executive Officer, Annie Bryce, said the move to switch over to sustainable products is one of their priorities.
“We have been planning to switch to more sustainable products for quite some time, and the opening of our North Harbour centre is the perfect opportunity to introduce this change, which will carry across to all of our Queensland-based centres in due course, and be introduced into all new Edge centres opening in 2020,” she said.
“These products are completely natural, which is perfect for children with sensitive skin, and they’re also good for the environment.”
Available in four different sizes, the mini panda disposable nappies are super absorbent and have an elastic waistband and triple strength tabs to ensure the child is comfortable at all times.
Available in packs of 80, the new wet wipes are compostable, and naturally moistened with aloe vera and vitamin E to keep a child’s skin smooth, clean and free of any harsh chemicals.
As part of the initiative to move toward sustainability, Edge Early Learning have also swapped to plant-based cleaning products and include end-to-end recycling programs in all centres. They will also be incorporating vegetable gardens, worm farms and compost bins into their educational programs to help teach children about the importance of sustainability.
The new North Harbour centre is currently accepting enrolment enquiries, in the lead up to the open date families are encouraged to join the waitlist by registering through My Family Lounge on their website. Visit, www.edgeearlylearning.com.au/north-harbour to submit your enrolment enquiry.
Edge Early Learning currently have fourteen centres spread across south east Queensland and will soon be opening another two purpose-built Brisbane centres located in Kelvin Grove and Ferny Grove.
