Our early learning centre in West End is convenient for families located in and around West End, Dutton Park, Woolloongabba and South Brisbane.

We welcome children from 6 weeks to school age into our small 44 place childcare and kindergarten. In our inclusive and homely learning environments, qualified teachers and educators deliver Edge’s bespoke Teach A Rainbow program, personalised to your child’s interests and individual learning goals. Children learn through play with engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that are aligned to the national curriculum.

We offer year-round care with long day care hours to suit busy family schedules, and our Kindergarten program is government-approved for your peace of mind.

Our qualified team is highly experienced in early learning and builds strong, trusting relationships with children and families to support a confident start to school. Children from our centre will often go on to attend West End State School, Yeronga State School and St Ita State School.

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: At Edge Early Learning West End – Jane St, we aim to make life as easy as possible for you, so we supply most of the necessities including sustainable nappies, wipes, sunscreen, insect repellent, and nutritious meals (breakfast through to a late snack) to ensure your child is well-cared for throughout the day. However, there are a few items that you will need to bring to ensure your child has everything they need:

  • Hat and drink bottle (supplied on enrolment)
  • Spare clothes (3 sets)
  • Any comfort items (dummies)
  • Nappy cream (requires pharmacy label)
  • Formula (pre-measured in dispenser) & baby bottles (pre-filled with water) / Breastmilk (clearly labelled)

A: We’re conveniently located on Jane Street in West End, just a short walk to West End State School — making our location perfect for families managing school drop-off and pick-up. Plus, we offer on-site parking for added ease and accessibility.

Our strong relationship with West End State School supports smooth transitions to Prep, and our Kindergarten children enjoy visits to the school to familiarise themselves with the environment and teachers.
