After your tour, you’ll receive an enrolment form to secure a spot or join the waitlist.

A: We accept enrolments for future start dates at Edge Milton, so whether you’re trying to enrol your child to start next month, or further down the track, we can assist you. Our Family Engagement Team can provide you with our current availability in each classroom, and help you join our waitlist if we don’t have a position for your child when you need it. A: To apply for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) you’ll need a MyGov account and a Customer Reference Number (CRN) to begin the application. Applying for CCS is simple and it’s a good idea to apply early to ensure you are ready to receive subsidised care in time for your child’s first day at Edge Milton. Follow this step-by-step guide to apply for the CCS:

• Set up a MyGov account (if you don’t have one already) and ensure you have a Customer Reference Number
• Set up your Centrelink online account through MyGov
• Prove your identity through documentation to be able to claim payments (you can do this online or in-person at Centrelink)
• Gather supporting documents including payslips, birth certificate, and medical records
• Submit supporting documents in your Centrelink online account or the express plus Centrelink mobile app. You can also mail, fax, or visit a service centre.
• Lodge your application via MyGov.
• Once this is lodged, Edge Early Learning, as your childcare provider, will input your enrolment details and lodge your application for you to get it fully processed.
• The Government will then notify you to confirm your subsidy eligibility and entitlement (how much they will subsidise off your childcare cost).

A: Yes! Our Milton Kindergarten has a government‑approved Kindergarten program that is delivered by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher and experienced educators to give children a confident start to school.

Eligible families can access Free Kindy funding (15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year)* at Edge Milton to reduce out‑of‑pocket costs. Our centre team or Family Engagement Team, can help explain how Free Kindy funding from the QLD government can be applied on top of your existing Childcare Subsidy, to further reduce your out-of-pocket costs. At Edge Early Learning, our Kindergarten program runs year-round with extended hours to meet your family’s needs. Each child’s learning goals are personalised and tracked across the 11 Key Learning Areas to build school‑ready skills such as early literacy, numeracy, independence, self-help skills, emotional regulation, and social skills.

Our Teach A Rainbow education program is unique to Edge Early Learning and is taught by a degree qualified Early Childhood Teacher across 11 Key Learning Areas, building school-ready skills including early literacy, numeracy, emotional regulation, and social skills.

Unlike community Kindergarten, our Milton Childcare and Kindergarten is open all year (except public holidays), with long daycare session hours for families who need longer care each day. This means you don’t need to find alternative care for your child during the school holidays or outside of the 8:30am–4pm Kindy program each day. Prefer Free Kindy only? We also offer a 7.5 hour session across 2 days per week for families who only want their child to participate in Free Kindy days.

Our program meets both the Early Years Learning Framework v2.0 and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline, so the standard of education is identical to any community Kindergarten.

A: At Edge Early Learning Milton, we aim to make life as easy as possible for you, so we supply most of the necessities including sustainable nappies, wipes, sunscreen, bedding, and nutritious meals (morning tea through to a late snack) to ensure your child is well-cared for throughout the day. However, there are a few items that you will need to bring to ensure your child has everything they need:

• Hat and drink bottle (supplied on enrolment)
• Spare clothes (3 sets)
• Any comfort items (dummies)
• Nappy cream (requires pharmacy label)
• Formula (pre-measured in dispenser) & baby bottles (pre-filled with water) / Breastmilk (clearly labelled)

A: We’re conveniently located just off Coronation Drive, down Graham Street, on the corner of Marie Street. We’re only a short 2 minute walk from Milton Ferry Terminal and an 8 minute walk from Milton Train Station. Plus, we offer on-site parking for added ease and accessibility.

A: Yes! Your child will enjoy fresh, nutritious meals prepared daily by our on-site chef, using recipes developed in collaboration with accredited dietitians at The Biting Truth. Designed with growing bodies in mind, our seasonal 4-week rotating menus are age-appropriate and nutritionally balanced, aligning with the Australian Dietary Guidelines to support healthy growth and development. Featuring a variety of whole foods and culturally inspired dishes, meals can be tailored to suit individual tastes, dietary needs, and allergy requirements to ensure every child receives nourishing meals each day.

A: Yes! At Edge Early Learning Milton, we make it simple to book care when you need it. We partner with Childcare Now, an on-demand booking platform that allows you to book a casual day at the touch of a button, from your phone.

Enrolled families will receive a weekly SMS letting you know when there’s availability in your child’s room. You can instantly book available casual days or go on a waitlist and be the first to be notified if space opens up for the date you need extra childcare.

A: Yes! Discover flexible childcare at Edge Early Learning Milton with our annual holiday discount offering 30% off* the daily fee for up to 4 weeks per year.

Terms & Conditions apply: The Edge Early Learning holiday discount entitles enrolled families to up to 4 weeks of holiday discount per year when the family provides a minimum two weeks’ notice in advance of the holiday. One week of holiday equates to the number of days in your child’s permanent weekly booking. Once your holiday discount is approved by your Centre Director, the Edge Centre Support Team will apply a 30% discount to the daily fee during the holiday period. Up to four weeks total holiday discount per enrolment per year.
