Our early learning centre in Mount Barker is convenient for families located in and around Aston Hills, Mount Barker, Mount Barker Springs, Mount Barker Summit and Wistow.

We welcome children from 6 weeks to school age into our childcare and preschool program. In our purpose-built indoor and outdoor learning environments, qualified teachers and educators deliver Edge’s bespoke Teach A Rainbow program, personalised to your child’s interests and individual learning goals. Children learn through play with engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that are aligned to the national curriculum.

We offer year-round care with long day care hours to suit busy family schedules, and a school readiness focus to build your child’s confidence for a smooth transition to school.

Our qualified team is highly experienced in early learning and builds strong, trusting relationships with children and families to support a confident start to school. Children from our centre will often go on to attend Mount Barker South Primary School, St Mark’s Lutheran School, and St Francis de Sales College.

Our Preschool program is delivered by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher and experienced educators to build school-ready skills such as early literacy, numeracy, independence, self-help skills, emotional regulation, and social skills.

Key milestones include:

  • Language & Literacy: Speaking in sentences (telling stories, asking and answering simple questions), and following simple rules and instructions.

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: At Edge Early Learning Mount Barker – Grantchester Ave, we aim to make life as easy as possible for you, so we supply most of the necessities including sustainable nappies, wipes, sunscreen, bedding, and nutritious meals (breakfast through to a late snack) to ensure your child is well-cared for throughout the day. However, there are a few items that you will need to bring to ensure your child has everything they need:
