Tucked into the heart of Mount Barker, Edge Mount Barker – Adelaide Rd is a place where children are truly known and inspired to learn each day. We’re a convenient choice for families living in Mount Barker, Totness, Littlehampton and Wistow. Looking for childcare in Mount Barker? You’ve found a service that feels like family.
From babies at six weeks through to confident preschoolers, our classrooms are thoughtfully set up to suit each stage. Every day, our educators deliver our Teach A Rainbow education program, an Edge-exclusive approach that weaves play, inquiry and intentional teaching into fortnightly learning experiences tailored to your child.
Many of our preschoolers graduate to attend Mount Barker Primary School, Lutheran School and Mount Barker South Primary School, and our team works hard to help every child feel ready for that transition. You’ll also find us 1 minute drive from Mount Barker Primary School, so school runs, shopping trips and errands fit neatly around centre drop-off and pick-up. Our coffee station for parents is also a busy and popular heart of our centre, fuelling our families on the go.
Outdoors, children enjoy both of our large outdoor playgrounds, challenging themselves on our bike tracks, timber fort and swing, with sensory learning and play a favourite in our sandpits.
Every decision we make starts with your child’s wellbeing. From our daily room routines to our education programming that features input and feedback from families. We also pride ourselves on an engaging schedule of local community excursions to Mount Barker library and Laurel’s intergenerational playgroup, which fosters meaningful relationships between multiple generations of Mount Barker locals. Our preschoolers head off to their first year of school with a strong sense of self, a love of learning and the social skills we’ve been building together from nursery.
