Edge Early Learning has officially launched Teach A Rainbow, a purpose-built early childhood education program that has rolled out across its centres in Queensland, South Australia, and the ACT. The new program represents a significant milestone in the evolution of early learning in Australia, with a strong focus on creativity and child-led discovery.
Teach A Rainbow brings together key learning areas and essential developmental milestones under a unified, vibrant curriculum designed for the unique needs of every child.
“Teach A Rainbow is a truly transformative step in our commitment to providing outstanding early education,” said Annie Bryce, CEO of Edge Early Learning.
At its core, Teach A Rainbow is built around the principles of respect, inclusion, and engagement. Children are empowered to be active participants in their learning journey, with each learning experience designed to meet them at their developmental stage. The curriculum nurtures:
All experiences are directly aligned with the five outcomes of Belonging, Being and Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia V2.0 (EYLF V2.0), supporting holistic growth and lifelong learning.
Following successful trials in 2023, Teach A Rainbow began phased implementation across all Edge Early Learning centres in 2024, with full integration in early 2025. Each rollout phase is supported by comprehensive educator training, practice implementation weeks, and dedicated resources to ensure a smooth transition.
Edge Early Learning’s Program and Practice Leaders play a critical role in supporting educators to deliver consistent, high-quality learning experiences that exceed National Quality Standards.
Educators are central to the success of Teach A Rainbow. The program equips them with the tools, training, and confidence to deliver inquiry-based learning tailored to the unique interests and strengths of every child.
“We believe that empowering educators is key to empowering children,” said Bryce. “By investing in our educators and providing the resources they need, we are investing in a brighter future for every child.”
The program also invites parents and caregivers to be active partners in their child’s education. Families receive valuable insights into their child’s development, enabling closer collaboration between home and centre and strengthening the support network around each child.
For families looking for a forward-thinking early education provider that values diversity and creativity, Teach A Rainbow offers an inspiring new standard in early childhood education.
