Our early learning centre in Kelvin Grove is convenient for families located in and around Kelvin Grove, Red Hill, Herston and Newmarket.

We welcome children from 6 weeks to school age, offering childcare and kindergarten program delivered by qualified teachers and educators in our heritage-listed building. The centre features two levels of restored, modern learning spaces with impressive views of Brisbane, alongside veggie gardens, sandpits and water-play areas. We have also partnered with local artist Carley Cornelissen to create bespoke animal-themed murals that inspire exploration and support our inquiry-based learning philosophy.

Our bespoke Teach A Rainbow program is personalised to your child’s interests and individual learning goals. Children learn through play with engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that are aligned to the national curriculum.

We offer year-round care with long day care hours to suit busy family schedules, and our Kindergarten program is government-approved for your peace of mind.

Our experienced, caring team builds strong, trusting relationships with children and families to support a confident start to school, with many of our graduates attending Kelvin Grove State College, Petrie Terrace State School and St Ambrose’s School.

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: At Edge Early Learning Kelvin Grove, we aim to make life as easy as possible for you, so we supply most of the necessities including sustainable nappies, wipes, sunscreen, and nutritious meals (breakfast through to a late snack) to ensure your child is well-cared for throughout the day. However, there are a few items that you will need to bring to ensure your child has everything they need:

  • Hat and drink bottle (supplied on enrolment)
  • Spare clothes (3 sets)
  • Bedding sheets for sleep time
  • Any comfort items (dummies)
  • Nappy cream (requires pharmacy label)
  • Formula (pre-measured in dispenser) & baby bottles (pre-filled with water) / Breastmilk (clearly labelled)

A: We’re conveniently located on L’Estrange Terrace, opposite Kelvin Grove State College and a short walk to QUT Kelvin Grove campus. We’re also only a 10 minute drive to the Brisbane CBD. Plus, we offer on-site parking for added ease and accessibility.

A: Yes! Your child will enjoy fresh, nutritious meals prepared daily by our on-site chef, using recipes developed in collaboration with accredited dietitians at The Biting Truth. Designed with growing bodies in mind, our seasonal 4-week rotating menus are designed to be age-appropriate and nutritionally balanced, aligning with the Australian Dietary Guidelines to support healthy growth and development. Featuring a variety of whole foods and culturally inspired dishes, meals can be tailored to suit individual tastes, dietary needs, and allergy requirements—ensuring every child receives nourishing meals each day.
