Ferny Grove: Spreading Christmas Cheer

This year, the Ferny Grove community has truly outdone itself with a heartwarming gift donation drive for families doing it tough. It’s been incredible to witness the sheer volume of donations and the collective effort from families, educators, and the wider community. This initiative isn’t just about gifts; it’s about showing solidarity, offering a helping hand, and ensuring that every child can experience the joy of Christmas. 

Grange: A Daily Dose of Kindness

Ashleigh Lawson, the Nominated Supervisor at our Grange centre, perfectly encapsulates the daily magic that happens within our walls. “My whole centre is a ‘feel good’ every single day,” she shares. “The heart of our service shines in the small moments each day, through the care we show, the kindness we share with families, and the way our team consistently goes above and beyond.”

These aren’t just words; they’re lived experiences. From Miss Daniela, our in-house chef, cooking meals for a family struggling with their children’s eating habits at home, to the Breakfast Club offering a calm space for families experiencing morning stress and anxiety – these are the moments that define the Grange experience. It’s a true local childcare story of support.

The Nursery team provides loving support to first-time, anxious mums navigating the early years journey, ensuring a warm and reassuring start for both children and parents. As children grow, the Pre-Kindy team creates an inspiring environment, with educators like Ms. Jade developing intentional outdoor set-ups that spark curiosity and learning. This dedication extends to making every milestone special, with the team thoughtfully preparing a beautifully warm and inviting space for graduation, ensuring a memorable celebration for all our families.

Centre Supervisor Ashleigh’s gratitude for her team, families, and the amazing Grange community is palpable. “My whole life feels like a dream because of the people around me,” she says. The dedication of her team is evident in every detail, even down to the impeccably clean walls that impress visitors and cleaners alike. It’s these everyday acts of kindness and commitment that make Grange a truly special place, a genuine feel-good childcare story unfolding daily.
