Edge Morayfield: Where Education and Community Thrive

23 November, 2023

We’re excited to introduce you to one of our newest centres, Edge Early Learning Morayfield.

Located in North Brisbane, we proudly opened the doors to this new centre in early September, expanding our commitment to providing quality education and care to families within the Brisbane region.

Edge Morayfield will cater for 114 children daily, with the new centre opening to meet the demand for quality education and care within the growing area.

The centre boasts modern state-of-the-art spaces and learning resources, including purpose-built Ateliers. These are separate and special spaces that encourage children to express their emotions through a multitude of creative resources that they can use to create their own masterpieces.

The outdoor areas are a haven of fun and adventure, complete with bike tracks, sandpits, water play stations, climbing forts, vegetable gardens, and quiet areas for relaxation.

Located at 1 Laver Street, Morayfield, the centre is based directly across the road from Morayfield East State School for added convenience.

The Morayfield centre has established a strong relationship with the school and surrounding primary schools as part of Edge’s School Readiness Program.

This program is designed to help our kindergarten children get ready for the transition to ‘big school’ by having periodic meet and greets, story times and tabletop activities delivered by a teacher from the school.

Vanessa Robb is the Centre Director of Edge Morayfield, a local with deep connections to the community.

With a wealth of experience, Vanessa is passionate about early learning and building a close and strong team of quality early childhood educators.

Mindfulness is an important value at Edge, with educators teaching children how to regulate emotions through activities such as yoga, which supports learning milestones and develops new skills.

In-house chefs cater to all dietary requirements and provide nutritious and delicious meals daily, including morning tea, lunch and afternoon snacks.

All meals are served in a communal setting to encourage socialisation and promote wellness.

Edge Early Learning is mindful of the world we live in and are passionate about teaching children the importance of sustainability, which empowers them to construct knowledge, explore values and develop an appreciation of the environment and its relationship to their world.

Edge’s strong sustainability focus is also implemented across the Morayfield centre which features solar power panels, recycle stations and vegetable gardens.

All Edge centres also use environmentally friendly cleaning products, and biodegradable bamboo wipes.

Edge Early Learning is always on the lookout for passionate educators to join the team at Edge Morayfield and across other centres in Queensland, South Australia, and the ACT.
