Our early learning centre in Virginia is convenient for families located in and around Virginia, Two Wells, Lewiston and Buckland Park.
We welcome children from 6 weeks to school age into our childcare and preschool program. In our purpose-built indoor and outdoor learning environments, qualified teachers and educators deliver Edge’s bespoke Teach A Rainbow program, personalised to your child’s interests and individual learning goals. Children learn through play with engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that are aligned to the national curriculum.
We offer year-round care with long day care hours to suit busy family schedules, and a school readiness focus to build your child’s confidence for a smooth transition to school.
Our qualified team is highly experienced in early learning and builds strong, trusting relationships with children and families to support a confident start to school. Children from our centre will often go on to attend Salisbury Downs Primary School, The Pines Primary School, Riverdale Primary School and Parafield Gardens Primary School.

Preschool Program delivered by a qualified Teacher
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) can cover up to 95% of your daily child care costs, depending on your family’s eligibility. From January 2026, eligible families can receive a minimum 3-days of subsidised care.
Estimate SubsidyEdge Virginia offers a comprehensive Preschool program, also referred to as Kindergarten, taught by our university-qualified Early Childhood Teacher and educators. Our exclusive Teach A Rainbow education program for Preschool is designed to educate the whole child across 11 key learning areas including physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.
Our program is aligned to the national Early Years curriculum, which means children develop a sense of their identity, community and wellbeing. We aim to ensure children are confident learners who can communicate effectively.
Children turning 4 before the 1st May are eligible to start 4-year-old preschool at the beginning of the year. Children turning 4 between 1st May and 31st October can start Preschool through our mid-year intake.
At Edge Early Learning Virginia, our bespoke education program is tailored to each child’s interests and developmental stage. It is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the national curriculum, and delivered across 11 Key Learning Areas ranging from STEM; creative arts, music and drama; fundamental movement and fine motor skills; social, emotional, health, and wellbeing; community and culture; Indigenous perspectives; literacy and language; numeracy; sensory; sustainability; and life skills.

A: The first step is to tour your preferred Edge Early Learning and Kindergarten centre by booking a tour. This gives you an opportunity to meet our educators, explore our nurturing environment, and understand how we can provide an experience that is best suited to your child. After your tour, you’ll receive an enrolment form to secure a spot or join the waitlist.
A: We accept enrolments for future start dates at Edge Virginia, so whether you’re trying to enrol your child to start next month, or further down the track, we can assist you. Our Family Engagement Team can provide you with our current availability in each classroom, and help you join our waitlist if we don’t have a position for your child when you need it. A: Applying for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is easy, but it’s a good idea to apply early so you’re ready for your child’s first day at Edge Virginia. Follow these steps to apply for the CCS:
Once this is lodged, Edge Early Learning will input your enrolment details and lodge your application for you to get it fully processed. The Government will then notify you to confirm your subsidy eligibility and entitlement (how much they will subsidise off your childcare cost). A: You can use our easy Childcare Subsidy Calculator to get an estimate of your out-of-pocket fees for our centre. Simply input your details, and the calculator will provide an indication of your potential subsidy and fees.
A: At Edge Early Learning Virginia, we aim to make life as easy as possible for you, so we supply most of the necessities including sustainable nappies, wipes, sunscreen, bedding, and nutritious meals (breakfast through to a late snack) to ensure your child is well-cared for throughout the day. However, there are a few items that you will need to bring to ensure your child has everything they need:
A: We’re conveniently located on Juniper Boulevard within the Virginia Grove housing development, and just a 5 minute drive to Virginia Primary School. Plus, we offer on-site parking for added ease and accessibility.
A: Your child will enjoy fresh, nutritious meals prepared daily by our on-site cook. Designed with growing bodies in mind, our menus are designed to be age-appropriate and nutritionally balanced to support healthy growth and development. Featuring a variety of whole foods and culturally inspired dishes, meals can be tailored to suit individual tastes, dietary needs, and allergy requirements—ensuring every child receives nourishing meals each day.
A: At our Virginia day care and preschool, we offer the Happy Feet Fitness program on Fridays. This program is optional and available for a small additional fee, giving families the flexibility to choose what suits their child’s interests.
