Our early learning centre in Tarragindi is convenient for families located in and around Tarragindi, Holland Park West, Mount Gravatt and Moorooka.

We welcome children from 6 weeks to school age into our childcare and kindergarten program. In our purpose-built indoor and outdoor learning environments, qualified teachers and educators deliver Edge’s bespoke Teach A Rainbow program, personalised to your child’s interests and individual learning goals. Children learn through play with engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that are aligned to the national curriculum.

We offer year-round care with long day care hours to suit busy family schedules, and our Kindergarten program is government-approved for your peace of mind.

Our qualified team is highly experienced in early learning and builds strong, trusting relationships with children and families to support a confident start to school. Children from our centre will often go on to attend St Elizabeth Primary, Wellers Hill State School, Moorooka State School and Marshall Road State School.

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: At Edge Early Learning Tarragindi, we aim to make life as easy as possible for you, so we supply most of the necessities including sustainable nappies, wipes, sunscreen, and nutritious meals (breakfast through to a late snack) to ensure your child is well-cared for throughout the day. However, there are a few items that you will need to bring to ensure your child has everything they need:

  • Hat and drink bottle (supplied on enrolment)
  • Spare clothes (3 sets)
  • Any comfort items (dummies)
  • Nappy cream (requires pharmacy label)
  • Formula (pre-measured in dispenser) & baby bottles (pre-filled with water) / Breastmilk (clearly labelled)

Q: Where is the centre located?

A: We’re conveniently located on Pope Street directly off Toohey Road. When you turn onto Pope Street drive past the Uniting Church and you will see us on the corner of Pope and Lana Streets at the bottom of the hill. Plus, we offer on-site parking for added ease and accessibility.

A: Yes! Your child will enjoy fresh, nutritious meals prepared daily by our on-site cook, using recipes developed in collaboration with accredited dietitians at The Biting Truth. Designed with growing bodies in mind, our seasonal 4-week rotating menus are designed to be age-appropriate and nutritionally balanced, aligning with the Australian Dietary Guidelines to support healthy growth and development. Featuring a variety of whole foods and culturally inspired dishes, meals can be tailored to suit individual tastes, dietary needs, and allergy requirements—ensuring every child receives nourishing meals each day.

A: At our Tarragindi day care and kindergarten, we offer extra-curricular activities included in your daily fees — no extra charges!

  • Nursery & Toddlers: Excursions to our local park
  • Pre-Kindy children: Monthly Intergenerational program with Forest Grove Retirement Village
  • Kindy children: Language lessons, monthly Bush Kindy at Toohey Forest, weekly swimming lessons at Sam Riley Swim School (Term 1 & 4), gymnastic classes (Term 2 & 3), and visits to the local primary school and Coopers Plains library.

Additionally, we offer Phyi Kids sports and fitness program on Wednesdays. This program is optional and available for a small additional fee, giving families the flexibility to choose what suits their child’s interests.

A: At Edge Early Tarragindi, we believe open and collaborative communication is essential to every child’s learning journey. That’s why we encourage families to connect with our Centre Leadership Team and educators for face-to-face conversations about your child’s development, whenever it suits your schedule.
