Our early learning centre in Strathpine is convenient for families located in and around Strathpine, Bray Park, Warner, Lawnton and Brendale.

We welcome children from 6 weeks to school age into our childcare and kindergarten program. In our purpose-built indoor and outdoor learning environments, qualified teachers and educators deliver Edge’s bespoke Teach A Rainbow program, personalised to your child’s interests and individual learning goals. Explore our light-filled modern classrooms that extend out into expansive tree-lined outdoor learning environments filled with engaging resources for play. We pride ourselves on our separate play areas for nursery and kindergarten children, where we encourage socialisation through communal mealtimes. Children learn through play with engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that are aligned to the national curriculum.

We offer year-round care with long day care hours to suit busy family schedules, and our Kindergarten program is government-approved for your peace of mind.

Our qualified team is highly experienced in early learning and builds strong, trusting relationships with children and families to support a confident start to school. Children from our centre will often go on to attend Strathpine State School and Lawnton State School.

Edge Strathpine Bells Pocket Road offers a year-long Kindergarten Program that sets your child up for a successful start to school. Our university-qualified teacher delivers programming that encourages children to manage their emotions, develop their focus and routine learning behaviours so they’re ready to thrive at school.

Key learning milestones you can expect:

  • Social & Emotional: Learning to navigate emotions, share, take turns, and build positive relationships.
  • Language & Literacy: Speaking in sentences (telling stories, asking and answering simple questions), and following simple rules and instructions.
  • Independence & Self-help: Dressing and toileting with minimal help, self-serving with tongs, and feeding themselves with fewer spills.
  • Cognitive & Problem-solving: Understanding size, opposites (big/little), positional words (middle/end), and matching colours and objects.

We’re also government-approved, which means your child can access Free Kindy funding, providing 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year of free Kindy. This subsidy is in addition to any Childcare Subsidy (CCS) your family is eligible for, to further reduce your daily out of pocket cost for Kindergarten.

Edge Early Learning has partnered with Life Ed Queensland, the organisation behind Healthy Harold, to introduce a new yearlong learning experience for all Queensland Kindy children. Edge is the first early learning provider in Queensland to bring the trusted program into a full-year, curriculum aligned learning journey, designed to support children’s wellbeing, safety and confidence as they grow and prepare for school.

A: The first step is to tour your preferred Edge Early Learning and Kindergarten centre by booking a tour. This gives you an opportunity to meet our educators, explore our nurturing environment, and understand how we can provide an experience that is best suited to your child. After your tour, you’ll receive an enrolment form to secure a spot or join the waitlist.

Q: Does our centre have availability or a waitlist?

A: We accept enrolments for future start dates at Edge Strathpine, so whether you’re trying to enrol your child to start next month, or further down the track, we can assist you. Our Family Engagement Team can provide you with our current availability in each classroom, and help you join our waitlist if we don’t have a position for your child when you need it. Q: How do I apply for the Childcare Subsidy (CCS)?

A: Applying for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is easy, but it’s a good idea to apply early so you’re ready for your child’s first day at Edge Strathpine – Bells Pocket Rd. Follow these steps to apply for the CCS:

  • Create a MyGov account (if you don’t have one) and get a Customer Reference Number (CRN)
  • Set up your Centrelink online account through MyGov
  • Prove who you are by showing documents, either online or in person at Centrelink, to be able to claim payments
  • Get your documents ready, like payslips, your child’s birth certificate, and any medical records
  • Submit your documents through your Centrelink online account or the Express Plus Centrelink app. You can also mail, fax, or go to a Centrelink service centre

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: At Edge Early Learning Strathpine – Bells Pocket Rd, we aim to make life as easy as possible for you, so we supply most of the necessities including sustainable nappies, wipes, sunscreen, bedding, and nutritious meals (morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea) to ensure your child is well-cared for throughout the day. However, there are a few items that you will need to bring to ensure your child has everything they need:

  • Hat and drink bottle (supplied on enrolment)
  • Spare clothes (3 sets)
  • Any comfort items (dummies)
  • Nappy cream (requires pharmacy label)
  • Formula (pre-measured in dispenser) & baby bottles (pre-filled with water) / Breastmilk (clearly labelled)

A: We’re conveniently located just off Gympie Road on Bells Pocket Road, just a 3 minute walk to Strathpine Plaza Shopping Centre. We’re also only a 2 minute drive to Strathpine State School. Plus, we’re only 1 minute from the bus stop and offer on-site parking for added ease and accessibility.

We’re also only minutes from our Edge Early Learning Strathpine – Railway Ave centre, on the opposite side of Gympie Road.

A: Yes! Your child will enjoy nutritious meals designed to be age-appropriate and nutritionally balanced to support healthy growth and development. Featuring a variety of whole foods and culturally inspired dishes, we ensure we meet all dietary needs and allergy requirements—ensuring every child receives nourishing meals each day.

A: We know that children thrive when families and educators work together. That’s why our Strathpine childcare has an open-door policy, welcoming you to connect and collaborate with our educators and centre leadership team about your child’s growth, interests, and goals. At Edge, your child’s development is a shared journey, and we invite you to be involved through regular updates including:

  • Weekly: Highlights of your child’s learning and classroom activities throughout the week.
  • Monthly / Bi-monthly: Snapshot of your child’s goals, progress, and meaningful moments. Plus, a monthly centre newsletter with team updates and upcoming events.
  • Twice yearly / Annual: A comprehensive summative assessment of your child’s progress over the prior six months, or a school transition report for kindergarten children preparing for school. We work closely with child safety organisations such as Life Ed and Bravehearts to strengthen personal safety education within our program. Our Kindergarten children participate in Life Ed’s Harold’s Little Learners program, building confidence, resilience, healthy habits, and personal safety skills—including understanding body boundaries, emotions, and social awareness.

At Edge, your child’s safety and wellbeing is more than just a policy, it’s part of everything we do. Our S.A.F.E. framework (Spot, Act, Fix, Explain) empowers educators to speak up if they see or suspect something isn’t right, fostering a culture of accountability and vigilance. Our Active Supervision policy supports staff to plan, position, look, and listen to ensure all children are continuously supported and monitored in a safe learning environment.
