In the heart of Nundah, Edge Early Learning and Kindergarten Nundah is a welcoming and attentive centre. Children settle quickly, families tell us they feel supported, and our educators go out of their way to make every day a good one for your children. We’re equally well placed for families based in Wavell Heights, Geebung, Gordon Park, Kalinga and Northgate. Looking for childcare or Kindergarten in Nundah? You’ve found a service that feels like family.
We care for children from six weeks to school age across nurturing classrooms designed around each age group. Your child’s days are filled with play-based learning, creative exploration and friendship connections, all guided by our bespoke Teach A Rainbow education program, which we personalise to your child’s interests, strengths and goals. Families in our Kindergarten classroom benefit from the government-approved free Kindy program, delivered by our qualified Early Childhood Teacher who tailors learning to each child’s pace and interests, with valuable input and feedback from our families. We will engage your child in cooking experiences, local community excursions and Indigenous education.
Our graduates move on to schools including Nundah State School, St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School and Northgate State School, and we focus on the friendships, confidence and independence skills that make their transition more comfortable. Handily, we’re a 1-minute walk to the bus stop and just a 15-minute walk to the Nundah train station, a small detail that makes a real difference on busy mornings. We also have an established partnership with Nundah State School and St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, with teachers and principals visiting our centre to meet our kindergarten children which gives our Kindy children an early connection and familiarity with school.
The Edge Nundah outdoor playgrounds are a family favourite, equipped with bike tracks, climbing forts, sandpits, water play stations, and a slide. Families comment on our excellent facilities as we’ve thought about the details, things like our breastfeeding-friendly parents’ room, dedicated emotional regulation space, community library and parent pram storage. We also help ease the family schedule with allied health visits, yoga, dance, sports and music programs available.
Safeguarding and wellbeing aren’t extras at Edge Nundah, they fundamentally shape the way we care for your child every single day. Our qualified team undertakes regular training and applies the national child safety principles in everything from daily routines to how we listen to children. When it’s time to start school, our educators will have worked alongside your child on the skills they’ll lean on in that first year: confidence, curiosity and a love of learning.
If Nundah childcare or Kindy is on your list, pop in and say hello. A personalised tour with our team is the best way to get a feel for us.
