Our early learning centre in Salisbury Downs is convenient for families located in and around Salisbury, Paralowie and Parafield Gardens.
We welcome children from 6 weeks to school age into our Salisbury daycare and preschool program. In our purpose-built indoor and outdoor learning environments, qualified teachers and educators deliver Edge’s bespoke Teach A Rainbow program, personalised to your child’s interests and individual learning goals. Children learn through play with engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that are aligned to the national curriculum. Our classrooms also benefit from art atelier rooms where children participate in the creative arts, while strengthening their imagination, emotional intelligence and problem-solving.
We offer year-round care with long day care hours to suit busy family schedules, and a school readiness focus to build your child’s confidence for a smooth transition to school.
Our qualified team is highly experienced in early learning and builds strong, trusting relationships with children and families to support a confident start to school. Children from our centre will often go on to attend Salisbury Downs Primary School, The Pines Primary School, Riverdale Primary School and Parafield Gardens Primary School.

Preschool Program delivered by a qualified Teacher
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) can cover up to 95% of your daily child care costs, depending on your family’s eligibility. From January 2026, eligible families can receive a minimum 3-days of subsidised care.

It is aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), the national curriculum, and delivered across 11 Key Learning Areas ranging from STEM; creative arts, music and drama; fundamental movement and fine motor skills; social, emotional, health, and wellbeing; community and culture; Indigenous perspectives; literacy and language; numeracy; sensory; sustainability; and life skills.

A: The first step is to tour your preferred Edge Early Learning and Preschool centre by booking a tour. This gives you an opportunity to meet our educators, explore our nurturing environment, and understand how we can provide an experience that is best suited to your child. After your tour, you’ll receive an enrolment form to secure a spot or join the waitlist.

A: There is no difference in the quality of our Salisbury Downs preschool program (also known as kindergarten) compared to a community or stand-alone preschool. Our program meets the Early Years Learning Framework (national curriculum) and is taught by a degree qualified Early Childhood Teacher.

A: At our childcare in Salisbury Downs, we aim to make life as easy as possible for you, so we supply most of the necessities including sustainable nappies, wipes, sunscreen, bedding, and nutritious meals (breakfast through to a late snack) to ensure your child is well-cared for throughout the day. However, there are a few items that you will need to bring to ensure your child has everything they need:
A: We’re conveniently located on Kings Road, which is on the border of Salisbury Downs and Parafield Gardens. Opposite our centre you’ll find ALDI supermarket, and Parafield Gardens Recreation Centre and swimming school. We’re also just 4 minutes from the Parafield Train Station and Salisbury Downs Primary School. We also offer on-site parking for added ease and accessibility.
A: Yes! Your child will enjoy fresh, nutritious meals prepared daily by our on-site chef, using recipes developed in collaboration with accredited dietitians at The Biting Truth. Designed with growing bodies in mind, our seasonal 4-week rotating menus are designed to be age-appropriate and nutritionally balanced, aligning with the Australian Dietary Guidelines to support healthy growth and development. Featuring a variety of whole foods and culturally inspired dishes, meals can be tailored to suit individual tastes, dietary needs, and allergy requirements—ensuring every child receives nourishing meals each day.
