If you’re searching for a trusted childcare in Morayfield, you’ll feel right at home here. With over 50 five-star Google reviews, our community continues to recognise the caring relationships, supportive environment, and quality early learning we provide every day.

Children aged six weeks to school age spend their days with us learning through play, building friendships and genuine connections. Our Teach A Rainbow education program, exclusive to Edge, shapes each learning experience around your child’s interests and developmental goals through hands-on investigation and project-based learning. In our Kindy room, children benefit from a government-approved kindergarten program guided by a qualified early childhood teacher, blending play-based learning with the school-readiness skills that really matter.

Our outdoor spaces encourage hands-on exploration and discovery with sandpits, climbing forts, water play stations, vegetable gardens, a worm farm, compost, cubby house, slide and yarning circle. We’ve thought about the details families appreciate, including convenient on-site parking, dental and optical visits, transition visits to Morayfield East State School to support a smooth transition to Prep, and a dedicated emotional regulation and calm space that supports children’s emotional awareness and wellbeing.

Our long-standing team works closely with Morayfield East State School, Autism Queensland, Pine Rivers Libraries, and Inclusion Support QLD to ensure every child receives the best possible support. We’re proud to maintain a highly inclusive and multicultural environment where all individuals feel respected, valued and supported. We celebrate the many backgrounds, languages and traditions of our families and educators, and include key sign language as a natural part of our communication.

Your child’s wellbeing sits at the heart of everything we do. Our team is committed to safeguarding through ongoing training, strong daily practices and the national child safety principles, so you can feel genuinely at ease when you drop off each morning. Our focus is on the skills children will use when they start school, not just the academic ones, but the social and emotional skills they’ll lean on in the classroom and the playground.

Partnerships with Families

Meet our Centre Director, Kathy

Hi, I’m Kathy. I hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and have 26 years of experience in our sector across roles including Area Manager, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources. I bring a broad perspective to leading Edge Morayfield East and I’m driven by the opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s life, not just academically, but emotionally and socially too.

I’m deeply passionate about inclusion and creating environments where every child, family, and educator feels valued, respected, and a true sense of belonging. I believe in building strong partnerships with families, working together to create a supportive village that fosters growth, learning, and wellbeing for every child. I’m proud of the strong connections we’ve built within our centre and the Morayfield community.

We warmly welcome families from Morayfield and the surrounding Caboolture community to book a tour. We’d love to show your family around!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I enrol my child in childcare?

A: To enrol your child in your preferred Edge Early Learning and kindergarten centre, start by booking a centre tour. This gives you the opportunity to meet our educators, explore our nurturing environment, and understand how we can provide an experience that is best suited to your child. After your tour, you’ll receive an enrolment form to secure a spot or join the waitlist.

Q: Are there vacancies available at the centre or is there a waitlist?

A: Edge Morayfield East takes enrolments for start dates in the coming weeks, right out to 12 months into the future, depending on our availability at the time of your enquiry. If you would like your child to begin soon or later in the year, we can guide you through the process. Our Family Engagement Team can tell you which rooms have spots open right now. If a place is not available when you need it, we can add your child to our waitlist.

Please call us on 07 3517 0629, Monday to Friday, between 8am and 4pm, and we’ll be glad to help.

Q: What is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS)?

A: The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a federal government subsidy designed to help Australian families with the cost of approved childcare. The amount you receive depends on your family’s income, the type of care, and your recognised activity hours. Learn about CCS.

Q: How do I apply for the Childcare Subsidy (CCS)?

A: Applying for the Child Care Subsidy is simple; however, you should apply early to ensure you are ready to receive subsidised care in time for your child’s first day at Edge Morayfield East. To apply for the CCS:

  • Set up a MyGov account (if you don’t have one already) and ensure you have a Customer Reference Number.
  • Set up your Centrelink online account through MyGov.
  • Prove your identity through documentation to be able to claim payments (you can do this online or in-person at Centrelink).
  • Gather supporting documents including payslips, birth certificate, and medical records.
  • Submit supporting documents in your Centrelink online account or the express plus Centrelink mobile app. You can also mail, fax, or visit a service centre.
  • Lodge your application via MyGov.
  • Once this is lodged, Edge Early Learning, as your childcare provider, will input your enrolment details and lodge your application for you to get it fully processed.
  • The Government will then notify you to confirm your subsidy eligibility and entitlement (how much they will subsidise off your childcare cost).

For more information on the application process, including how to do the childcare subsidy assessment, visit Services Australia website.

Q: How can I estimate my childcare fees?

A: You can use our easy Childcare Subsidy Calculator to get an estimate of your out-of-pocket fees for our centre. Simply input your details, and the calculator will provide an indication of your potential subsidy and fees.

Q: Do you offer Free Kindy?

A: Our government‑approved Kindergarten program is delivered by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher and experienced educators to give children a confident start to school.

Eligible families can access Free Kindy funding (15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year)* at our centre to reduce out‑of‑pocket costs. Our centre team or Family Engagement Team, can help explain how Free Kindy funding from the QLD government can be applied on top of your existing Childcare Subsidy, to further reduce your out-of-pocket costs. Find out more about Free Kindy.

At Edge Early Learning, our Kindergarten program runs year-round with extended hours to meet your family’s needs. Each child’s learning goals are personalised and tracked across the 11 Key Learning Areas to build school‑ready skills such as early literacy, numeracy, independence, self-help skills, emotional regulation, and social skills.

* Free Kindy subsidy totals 600 hours of subsidised Kindergarten per year.

Q: What’s the difference between Kindy at Edge Morayfield East and community Kindergarten?

A: Edge Morayfield stands apart from stand-alone or community Kindergarten in four ways: our exclusive Teach A Rainbow education program, year-round extended hours, chef cooked meals, and the flexibility to combine Free Kindy with full daycare in a single setting.

Our Teach A Rainbow education program is unique to Edge Early Learning and is taught by a degree qualified Early Childhood Teacher across 11 Key Learning Areas, building school-ready skills including early literacy, numeracy, emotional regulation, and social skills.

Unlike community Kindergarten, our Morayfield Childcare and Kindergarten is open all year (except public holidays), with long daycare session hours (how long we can care for your child each day) for families who need longer care each day. This means you don’t need to find alternative care for your child during the school holidays or outside of the 8:30am–4pm Kindy program each day.

Only want to attend our centre for Free Kindy across two days each week? That’s fine too! We offer a flexible 7.5 hour session for families who only want their child to participate in Free Kindy for the 7.5 hour days, two days each week.

Our program meets both the Early Years Learning Framework (national curriculum) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline, so the standard of education is identical to any community Kindergarten.

Q: What do I need to bring?

A: At our Morayfield daycare, we aim to make life as easy as possible for you, so we supply most of the necessities including sustainable nappies, wipes, sunscreen, insect repellent, bedding, and nutritious meals (breakfast through to a late snack) to ensure your child is well-cared for throughout the day. However, there are a few items that you will need to bring to ensure your child has everything they need:

  • Hat and drink bottle (supplied on enrolment)
  • Spare clothes (3 sets)
  • Any comfort items (dummies)
  • Nappy cream (requires pharmacy label)
  • Formula (pre-measured in dispenser) & baby bottles (pre-filled with water) / Breastmilk (clearly labelled)

Our Early Childhood Teacher leads monthly kindergarten class excursions to the school and we welcome visits from prep teachers to help children arrive at prep feeling confident.

Q: Do you offer a holiday discount?

A: Yes! Discover flexible childcare with Edge Early Learning’s annual holiday discount offering 30% off* the daily fee for up to 4 weeks per year.

*The Edge Early Learning holiday discount entitles enrolled families to up to 4 weeks of holiday discount per year when the family provides a minimum two weeks’ notice in advance of the holiday. One week of holiday equates to the number of days in your child’s permanent weekly booking. Once your holiday discount is approved by your Centre Director, the Edge Centre Support Team will apply a 30% discount to the daily fee during the holiday period. Up to four weeks total holiday discount per enrolment per year.

Q: How do you communicate and partner with families?

A: At Edge Early Learning Morayfield East, we believe open and collaborative communication is essential to every child’s learning journey. Q: How do you look after children's safety and wellbeing?

A: At our daycare in Morayfield, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. We provide a secure, nurturing long daycare environment where children can explore, learn, and grow with confidence. Our team is committed to protecting children through consistent daily practices, evidence-based programs, and strict adherence to national child safety standards and Edge child safeguarding policy and procedure.

We work closely with child safety organisations such as Life Ed and Bravehearts to strengthen personal safety education within our program. At Edge, your child’s safety and wellbeing is more than just a policy, it’s part of everything we do. Our S.A.F.E. framework (Spot, Act, Fix, Explain) empowers educators to speak up if they see or suspect something isn’t right, fostering a culture of accountability and vigilance. Our Active Supervision policy supports staff to plan, position, look, and listen to ensure all children are continuously supported and monitored in a safe learning environment. In addition, all supervisory and senior staff complete ongoing Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting training to stay up to date on best practices.
