Here at Edge Early Learning Karana Downs, our team are dedicated to creating a safe and secure environment for all children and families where they can feel at home. Together as a team we share the same passion in delivering high quality education and care for the children where we provide children with the freedom to explore and learn while fostering creativity, curiosity and a love for life long learning. We look forward to inviting you and your family into our centre.

About the Centre

Edge Early Learning Karana Downs is our purpose-built early learning centre located behind Mount Crosby State School. We provide quality child care and education tailored to children from 6 weeks to school age.

At Karana Down’s childcare centre, we are passionate about the health and well-being of children, which is why our program promotes healthy eating and active lifestyles. Our custom-designed centre features indoor-outdoor learning spaces that enable children to harness their learning potential in a space that suits their interests. 

Our Teach A Rainbow educational program is a nurturing approach designed to support your child’s curiosity, creativity, and essential developmental skills. We implement an inquiry-based approach where children are encouraged to ask questions, explore new interests and develop a love of learning through play-based experiences. With a focus on a successful transition to school, each child receives a personalised program to provide the best early learning experience and aid in their growth and development.

At Edge we aim to make life as easy as possible for you, so we supply most of the necessities. However, there are a few items that you will need to bring to ensure your child has everything they need.

'Edge Early Learning at Karana Downs is the perfect balance of modern design, safe and educational play and most importantly, the staff are like a second family for our kids. The new design includes outdoor learning areas with excellent shade cover, so the children are safely outside a lot of the day, with great play spaces and really well kept native gardens. Edge promote respect for diversity and indigenous culture, and inclusion for everyone. Safe body language is also a big focus. I am also impressed by the consideration for safety across different ages: nursery, toddlers and kindy have different zoned areas of play, keeping little ones safe but included in fun. Lastly the food options are great, especially the consideration for allergies and intolerances. We only needed one tour and a chat with Tamara to know it was right for our family.'

Edge Early Learning Karana Downs is everything you want in a childcare centre and more! Everyone is so friendly, helpful and professional. Tamara has been so accommodating and has gone out of her way on numerous occasions to assist us. Miss Tammy, Rebecca and all the staff are absolutely wonderful. It’s tough parting with your baby and the team here has helped to not only make it a smooth transition but a really fun and exciting experience.
