One of Australia’s leading early learning providers, Edge Early Learning, has unveiled its 2025 expansion plans adding 13 centres to its current 61-centre footprint, designed to cater to increasing demand from families across South Australia (SA) and Queensland (QLD).
CEO Annie Bryce said the new centres will collectively accommodate over 1,000 additional children daily, offering them a nurturing environment that supports their social, emotional, and developmental needs.
“Our growth plans are a direct response to the high demand for quality early learning services in our areas of operation. This includes opening both ‘greenfield’ or purpose-built locations and increasing the size of existing centres to enhance capacity.”
Greenfield Centres Opening in 2025
Confirmed new Edge Early Learning locations include:
- Salisbury Downs (SA)
- Elizabeth Park (SA)
- Flagstaff Hill (SA)
- Seacombe Heights (SA)
- Gordonvale (QLD)
- Grange (QLD)
Extension to Aroona Centre in Brisbane
In response to significant demand and a growing waitlist, Edge is also extending its existing centre in the Brisbane suburb of Aroona.
“We’re excited to grow alongside the communities we serve, with the expansion plans adding two new rooms, allowing the centre to provide for even more families,” said Ms. Bryce.
Meeting the Need for Qualified Educators
As Edge expands, so does its commitment to attracting and retaining top early childhood professionals by fostering a supportive workplace culture, career development opportunities, and competitive benefits.
“We’re not just growing our footprint; we’re investing in passionate educators who shape the next generation,” said Ms. Bryce. “Joining Edge means being part of a collaborative, innovative community dedicated to excellence in early learning.”
As part of this commitment, Edge recently hosted its Early Childhood Educators Fair in South Australia, bringing together current and aspiring educators for an evening of networking, industry insights, and career opportunities. The event reinforced Edge’s proactive approach to recruitment – engaging with educators, collaborating with industry partners, and showcasing the professional growth available within the organisation.
Educational Philosophy Key to Growth
Edge Early Learning’s educational philosophy centres on an inquiry-based approach, encouraging children to explore, ask questions, and learn through play. This method fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and a lifelong love for discovery.
Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, programs emphasise identity, connectedness, wellbeing, active learning, and communication, ensuring children are well-prepared for school and beyond.
“Our programs are designed to nurture the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally,” said Ms. Bryce. “We want every child to leave our centres with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in their next learning journey.”
Through these comprehensive programs, Edge Early Learning ensures that each child receives a well-rounded, enriching early education experience.
