Edge Early Learning Marsden

We’re thrilled to share that Edge Early Learning Marsden has been awarded Best Environmental and Sustainability Practices at the recent Logan Business Distinction Awards.

This prestigious award recognises businesses that actively reduce energy and waste, educate their staff on environmental issues, demonstrate leadership in sustainability, and undertake initiatives that positively impact the environment.

At Edge Early Learning, we believe in the importance of building a sustainable future, and we’re passionate about playing our part in making that a reality.

Edge Marsden’s dedication to sustainability has not gone unnoticed. Over the past couple of years, the centre’s inspiring commitment to sustainability has received widespread recognition, and we couldn’t be prouder! Here’s how the team’s efforts have been acknowledged so far:

Across all our centres in Queensland, South Australia, and the ACT, we’re taking meaningful steps to reduce our ecological footprint.

Our centres are switching to solar power, use environmentally friendly cleaning products, and we source biodegradable bamboo nappies and wipes that are gentle on sensitive skin and better for the planet.

All of our centres also integrate sustainability education into the daily lives of our young learners.

By weaving eco-friendly practices into their routines, our educators help children develop an understanding and appreciation of the natural world.

Recent initiatives include collecting loose parts such as corks and lids for creative provocations and learning experiences, crafting basketball hoops from repurposed milk crates, and propagating plant cuttings in recycled coffee jars.

Vegetable gardens, which the children help care for, allow families to take home fresh produce, bringing the spirit of sustainability into their homes as well.
