On 25 August 2026, Craig Shepard, David Johnstone and Stacey Clisby from KordaMentha were appointed as Voluntary Administrators of the group of entities trading as Edge Early Learning. Edge centres remain open and caring for children while the business review is undertaken.
A: Voluntary administration is a formal process designed to provide a company with an opportunity to assess its financial position and consider options for its future. Independent Voluntary Administrators have been appointed to review the business and work with key stakeholders to determine the best path forward. Our immediate focus is to maintain the safe and ongoing operation of each centre while this urgent review is undertaken.
A: We are continuing to operate all centres on a business-as-usual basis. There will be no change to your care arrangements, centre opening hours or staffing. Families should continue to attend their centre as normal. We are working with management and will be supporting centre staff to minimise any disruption.
A: No. We are working to ensure that you see no impacts to the care you receive and are supporting staff to help them navigate the uncertainty that voluntary administration causes.
A: No. The safety and wellbeing of children is our primary focus. Centres will continue to operate under the relevant regulatory requirements and standards that apply to early childhood education and care services. You should bring any safety concerns to the attention of your centre director. Please also contact our team on the contact details below should you wish to raise any concerns.
A: To clarify, there will be no change to your arrangement in making payment of fees or the current payment terms or payment dates. Direct debits will continue to be processed on the same days.
Any previously announced fee increase scheduled to take effect on 7 September 2026 will proceed as communicated.
There will be no change to the Child Care Subsidy entitlements you receive, subject to normal eligibility and government requirements.
A: Where possible, planned activities and events will continue. However, some activities may be reviewed or adjusted during the administration period. Families will be notified if any changes are required.
A: The voluntary administration process occurs over several weeks while the Administrators review the business and engage with stakeholders.
