Our Bilinga early learning and kindergarten centre is a place where children feel secure, seen and celebrated, and where parents can feel confident leaving them in capable hands. We’re equally well placed for families based in Tugan, Kirra, Coolangatta and Tweed Heads. Our Bilinga childcare is built on strong child and family relationships, play-based learning and long-standing educators.
We offer early education and kindy for children aged six weeks to school age, with each classroom lovingly designed to match the stage your child is at. Our exclusive Teach A Rainbow education program, keeps learning playful, purposeful and centred on each child’s interests and learning goal, and welcomes family input throughout. Our kindergarten room runs the government-approved free kindy program, taught by our qualified early childhood teacher, that sets your child up for a smooth transition into school.
Many of our kindy children go on to attend Coolangatta State School, Tweed Heads Public School, Currumbin State School and St Joseph’s Primary School, and our team works hard to help every child feel ready for that transition. You’ll also find us just a 5 minute drive to Kirra and Coolangatta, so school runs fit neatly around centre drop-off and pick-up.
The playground is a favourite, featuring a fully sheltered playscape, with high ceilings and skylights for all-weather outdoor play. Water play is essential for our Queensland climate and we have water streaming from rocks and poles, plus sandpits, a bike track and the ever popular slide. Inside, the centre includes a breastfeeding-friendly parents’ room and a community borrowing library, thoughtful touches that make daily life easier for families. We pride ourselves on easing the load on family schedules through offering optional extra-curriculars such as soccer, tennis and movement programs, and dental and optical visits to the centre. Plus our children love exploring the Bilinga community through excursions to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary.
At Edge Bilinga, we embrace learning opportunities that extend beyond the children to include our educators and families. Through regular sign language professional development, educators weave signing into daily interactions across all rooms. Our ‘Sign of the Week’ initiative keeps families involved, with each new sign shared at home to strengthen connections and foster a more inclusive environment for everyone.
At the core of our centre is a deep commitment to your child’s safety and wellbeing. Our educators are trained in safeguarding on an ongoing basis and hold firmly to the national child safety principles so that every child feels respected, protected and heard. And when it’s time to start school, our team will have worked alongside your child on the skills they’ll lean on in that first year, confidence, curiosity and strong relationships with the adults around them.
